Corfu to Frankfurt to Edmonton

I was up early today leaving at 6:30 AM to catch my bus to the airport. Fortunately, the bus was right across the street from our apartment and I didn't have far to go. Corinne was kind enough to get up early and help me down with my luggage. She was staying on in Greece for a few more days on her own. Her flight home was from Tirana, so she had to do the whole ferry/bus thing back to Tirana again on her own! The bus to the airport was right on time and took only five minutes for €1.20. Check-in and security went smoothly, but it's a very small airport so it was quite crowded.

A French-Canadian couple stole my window seat which I was rather annoyed at because the views leaving Corfu would have been amazing, but they had a baby and didn't want to move and then closed the blind as we were taking off! It was a 2.5 hour flight from Corfu to Frankfurt. Fortunately, everything was on time and I had enough time to connect to my next flight from Frankfurt to Edmonton which departed early afternoon. I had two seats to myself again on the return flight which was quite enjoyable. Nine hours later, I was back in Edmonton by mid-afternoon.

This was quite a whirlwind trip covering a lot of territory and involved a lot of hiking! I certainly got my exercise, but every place we visited was quite amazing and worthwhile!
